Ah, coffee… The lifeblood of the office environment. Some (including myself) can’t function without it. I may be feeding into my addiction by saying this, but I believe that coffee is one of the most important elements in any office setting. Not just for the caffeine, but for the conversations around the coffee station.
Making my morning coffee allows me to step out of the work world for just a moment. It gets me out of my chair and in front of coworkers. It allows me to ask my coworkers about their lives outside of work. I love that part of my morning, mostly because of the caffeine (it’s a real problem), but also because I get to chat and laugh. I don’t know about you guys, but laughing puts me in a great mood, which is important for the work day.
Regardless of if you drink coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or skinny chai lattes with a shot of espresso (my personal fave), hot beverages are so comforting around the holiday season.
To put us all in the spirit, I thought it would be fun to show you guys how you can build your very own DIY Christmas Coffee Bar. This layout will work for your office, your home, and even any parties you are planning to host.

DIY CHRISTMAS COFFEE BAR
It all starts with a Coffee Machine. I’m using a Keurig for this project, because it’s what I have, but any type of maker will work!
My idea was to create coffee bar that also had plenty of treats and toppings for people to add to their beverages. In the picture, you’ll see truffles, marshmallows, sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, peppermint sticks, candy canes, and chocolate coated pretzels. You could also add milk, cream, whipped cream, sprinkles, and any of your favourite holiday candies/chocolates.
Next you’ll need jars and containers to hold your add-ins. I went to my local Dollar Store and Homesense to pick up a few Christmas themed items and an adorable two tier stand that I found perfect for placing k-cups and treats.
The cute holiday mugs are optional, but highly recommended as you can only hold so much coffee in the palm of your hand (also, because ouch). My DIY station features the cutest penguin mug ever, from Real Canadian Superstore.
Side note…Can anyone tell me why penguins are associated with Christmas? I love it, but I’m just a bit confused.
Most importantly, you’ll need some amazing coffee! I would suggest a mixture of holiday flavours and regular brew as not everyone is a fan of flavoured coffee. This is where having the Keurig and K-cups come in handy, because they are single-serving. Side note, the Spiced Eggnog coffee in this picture is TO. DIE. FOR. We have since used it all up.
